Description: A certificate student is any student admitted by IIT Stuart for a specific certificate program, and who is registered as a certificate student at IIT Stuart.
Application: You may apply for admission to a certificate program in any quarter. We suggest that you submit your completed application
online or using the application form and supporting documents at least two weeks prior to the quarter for which admission is desired.
International applicants planning to enroll at IIT Stuart on
a student visa may not apply as a certificate student due to
immigration regulations.
To apply as a certificate-seeking student, please submit the following:
Certificate program application and accompanying forms.
$75.00 USD application fee. If you have previously paid an application fee to Illinois Institute of Technology, the application fee is waived.
Admission requirements: Enrollment is limited to students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution and who have at least two years of work experience. Some programs have additional requirements and prerequisites, which are noted in the Graduate Business Certificate Program Overview and the Financial Markets Certificate Programs Overview.
Enrollment: Students enrolled in a certificate program may apply their certificate credits to an MS or MBA if they decide to pursue a master’s degree and are admitted as a degree-seeking student at IIT Stuart.
Accepted certificate students may enroll in as many hours as
are necessary to complete the certificate. Certificate
students who later apply and are accepted to a master’s
degree program may apply only approved certificate
coursework with a grade of “B” or better to the master’s
degree. Please see the
