Professor
Kusz heads JPKusz, Ltd., which develops technologies and strategies
aimed at mitigating the negative environmental affects of
commerce. Formerly, he directed the product development and
product stewardship groups at Safety-Kleen Corporation, an
environmental services company. He has authored over
40 papers
and presented at national and international conferences, speaking
principally on environmental problem-solving through the product
design process and organizational change. He served on the
U.S. EPA Peer Review Group's Product Life Cycle Assessment
Project, on technical committees at the Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) and the International Organization for Standardization
(ISO), and authored a study for the U.S. Congress Office of
Technology Assessment on the correlation of corporate, economic,
and environmental trends in the household chemical products
industry. He holds 10 U.S. and foreign patents.
